  1. Wallstreet duh!!!

  2. With a series 7 license you could probably get with many firms in sales depending on what firm is currently holding your license.

Many smaller firms are always looking for people that are licensed and usually offer a good position in sales or at least working for some one who is considering retirement.

Rather than work for a brokerage firm you can always get  picked up by a bank or insurance company owned broker/dealer.  Both usually pay their sales people a salary rather than commissions.

You can try to get into a mutual fund, either in their in house sales or in the wholesale end of the fund.   Both pay salaries rather than commissions.  You can get into trading or fund management (you will have to come in as a trainee, but who cares)

Many brokerage firms look for customer service people especially those with a 7 since they will be speaking with customers.  These are salary positions and there is no sales involved.

Brokerage firms also look for licensed people for their compliance areas whether if be for the customer side or for in-house reviews.

You can try to get a positions with a regulator, FINRA or the SEC since these are government (or quasi government positions) they  are decent may for less work, and you have a job for life (as long as your body is warm).

Before you make any move make sure you get the 7, and before you leave pick up the 63  If you pass the 7 the 63 will be snap.

The 7 looks good on the resume, so make sure you get it and use it,

This business has been very good for me. I hope you find it the same

    Good luck
