  1. Both of the fish you mentioned will eventually get too large. Have you looked into loaches? 10 gallons are pretty much made for little community fish. You could keep 1 slightly oddball fish in there.

www.fishbase.org <should give you some more options.

  2. Tiger Barbs, Neon Tetra's, mini-algae eaters, sword-tails.

  3. ok id get

    1-Dwarf Gourami or 5-Cherry Barbs

    3- cory cats

    2-otto cats

if u want get a red tail black shark but u have to keep the tank very clean it well get dirty faster and make alot of hinding spots

there u go top feeders bottom feeders cleaner fish and one middle feeder

go here and check them out http://fins.actwin.com/species/index.php...

  4. different kindas of tetras like the neon and golden

  5. 2 tiger barbs is enough for such a small tank

  6. never keep tiger barbs in numbers less than 3.

you can't do tiger barbs, because they can out grow a 10 gallon.  sharks become incredibly large (and the tank size does not stop that).  I would probably suggest cherry barbs, small tetras, and some cory catfish.
