Best fish tacos in San Diego?

hi, i am going to san diego next week and i am looking for a place that has really good fish tacos. a friend of mine told me that he found a place once near the beach, that had amazing ones and you could get buckets of corona too. any info on this place or any others would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Hi, it sounds like your friend is describing South Beach in Ocean Beach right near the pier.  See my post to a similar question.

Coyote Cafe in Old Town San Diego - you can't miss it - it's the place with the "tortilla ladies" making fresh tortillas next to the sidewalk.  Yummy!

I think you will be pleased with most taco shop fish tacos but please stay away from places like Del Taco.  Rubios is good but not the same as taco shop.

almost any place on the beach is going to have awesome fish tacos. There are a lot of mexicans in San Diego and the mexican food is second to none. Depends on the beach you are going to also but almost any place will have awesome ones with some salsa, cabbage, and lime.

erm...well, this isnt specifically san diego, but rubios and del taco have delicious fish tacos. sorry if im no help =(

The place your friend probably referred to is the South Beach Bar and Grill on newport Avenue in ocean Beach.  It's FABULOUS, and serves lots of Corona as well.  Get the Grilled  Mahi tacos - they have a few varieties but these are the best!

Wahoo's has great grilled fish tacos. You may be looking for fried fish, but this is great, and healthier too :-)
