5x2x2 tank. Need to know the best fish to break the tank in other than goldfish. Got a few guppies in there that we caught in the creek but want something that will help break in the tank a bit better without carking it because of the 'new tank syndrome' chemicals.

  1. All of the above answers are correct except the gold fish answer.

Mollies, guppies, platies, catfish, barbs, rasboras, loaches, rainbowfish and danios are a good start for a new tank.

They are easy to take care of and for the most part hardy fish!

    Good luck!

The live bearers are really fun!!!

  2. Mollies and platies! very pretty colorful fish! very hardy and enjoyable!

  3. I started my tank with platies.  The main thing to remember is to start off with a small amount of fish.  Having a lot with only throw your chemicals off.  Make sure that you do not overfeed them.  I change out about 15-20% of my water weekly.  Sometimes more often if the chemical  levels are high.  Good luck.

  4. tetras, guppies, maullys, but i recommend getting them from a store,

i would assume then there tame?

  5. Danios. They are very hardy fish and recommended by a lot of people to cycle a tank.

  6. cat fish

  7. i would say goldies but ither than them u can buy some four line pimodella  catfish, or any type of catfish can work theyre hardy and i used them

  8. any type of fish they are all great! hope this works :)
