  1. You didn't say where you were looking to fish at in Canada. There are tons of spots to choose from, East coast to the West. I have been a guide in the Pacific Northwest region for 5 yrs now, so my preference is the West coast. I fish several areas around Vancouver Island and up into the Queen Charletts Islands. Today we limited out on halibut, and ling cod. Six chinook and one 34lb Tyee were landed throughout the day as well. Fish species here include: 5 species of salmon(chinook, pink, coho, chum, sockeye), ling cod, kelp cod, rock cod, sea bass, halibut, steelhead, rainbow trout, cut throat trout, Kokenee, salmon shark, thresher shark, six-gill shark, fluke and probably a few more I'm missing. There are allot of choices for lodges and bed and breakfast places to stay. There are lots of bed and breakfast places tucked around lakes and small coastal towns. They would be allot cheaper then some of the lodge prices but of course the lodges take care of almost everything. Oak Bay Marine runs a good outfit. They have some nice equipment for fishing, and lot's of it. Here's their site http://www.obmg.com/   Feel free to email me for more info. 40yr exp.
