Deep Creek lake is AWESOME, also Savage River Reservior... or you can go out the back of Savage River Res. and fish for trout in the upper branch of the potomac river.  SRR has a small river /stream that empties out of it's dam, that water is artificial lures only, but when it hits the potmac (about 3/4 mile) it's normal trout fishing.

Also Severn River is good too - near Ft Meade... close to home to you they will soon start stocking trout in Seneca State park in the stream...

Go by Wal-Mart to buy this map it will show you tons of places to fish in Maryland and what fish are there... here is a link where you can buy the map... best investment you ever made...
