Best fishing spots in WI?

Does anyone know some good hot spots for fishing in Wisconsin.... I just got started and wanted to knwo if anyone had some suggestions....

There are great spots all over our state.  My advice would be to go to the library and isolate a few lakes that you would like to fish and then try to find out about lake access, boat rental and what species are in the lake.  The best way to find spots is to fish with someone that already knows the lakes you are going to fish.  Fish with them and get tips on what they are doing.

All I can say is avoid Southern WI.  Thanks to all the flooding, they say our waters won't be safe for fishing for two years!

look up all the lakes on line look up the lake records on line get the topographical maps and use them and learn by reading fishing articles in papers and periodicals local to your domicile. Go to the library and ask the reference desk attendant where to find information on all the local lakes and then take a few books home about fishing the specie you want to target.
