Question:

Best foods to eat to 'line the stomach'?

Currently taking a medication that's *very* acidic, lots of reactions with the stomach unless you take it with food. What's best to stop a case of heartburn/indigestion the size of an elephant's grandmother? NB, no cheating by eating/ingesting over-the counter heartburn remedies

  1. Soya milk.  Rice pudding. Or savoury rice, pasta, potatoes with mint.

  2. In your case, I would consume foods rich in fiber. Fiber looks like a mesh screen under the microscope. After it cleans out everything. Try foods that stick with you for a while. Hummus and peanut butter move slowly through the digestive tract and have a neutral PH.

  3. the only thing i can think of is those previously mentioned, milk and bananas

  4. Mashed potato, banana, white bread

  5. definately milk, not heard of banana's tho' I shall keep it in mind as I got a lot of indigestion.

On a side note....banana's are very good for period pain, this isn't a myth, an enzyme in the banana supresses the pain signal...it really works!

  6. I would say bread or pasta/rice.

  7. digestive biscuits (without the chocolate)

  8. fry-ed rat

  9. Milk or Bananas or both.

  10. Always found milk very good - although not a vegan option

  11. I would say yogurt or milk, but check with your pharmacist as some meds shouldn't be taken with certain foods.
