Best fps on the ps2?

Question

i may be getting a ps2 (my first home console system) and i am wondering about which game i should get. any game suggestions are good but i am mainly curious about the fps. i hear black is a very good fps but i read a review which said it doesn't have much replay value. i guess any fps would probobly impress me though. i am also thinking about judge dredd dredd vs death for the ps2. that game sounds interesting... any suggestions?

yeah Black is a pretty good game, but no multi/online, and the missions are quite long, and what sucks even more is there's no checkpoint/savepoint, so if you turn it off, you'll have to start over from the beginning of the level.  Once you beat the game, you can always replay it on a harder difficulty.

dredd vs death got decent/average scores & reviews.  so i would probably just borrow it from a friend and see if you like it.

You can also try Call of Duty 2, Half-Life, Red Faction 1 & 2.

If you're into horror, Fatal Frame 1 & 2 are good.

The Metal Gear Solid games aren't really FPS games, but they're awesome.  The Tom Clancy games are quite good as well.  Grand Theft Auto games are always fun, shooting people, blowing up cars,  helicopters, getting chased by cops.
