Best free anti-virus programs??

Question

hello,

i currently have avg anti virus installed for that kinda stuff, and ad aware for spyware uses. being free, are there any other programs that will help my security that are free?

my girlfriend downloads alot of c**p, mostly from trusted sites, but i cannot gurantee she always will, and you know women.

so, besides the ad aware 2008, and avg, is there anything else, or better??

Avast! is free

avg and ad-aware are good, try adding these as well:

-spyware blaster

blocks spyware

-spybot S&D

similar to ad-aware, it removes spyware

threatfire is good protection free from pc tools

From what i hear Avira Antivirus is the best but have not tried it yet because i have been using Avast for over a year now with no problems.
