When I was making websites, www.freewebs.com was easy to use. A fair amount of space is given for free. I highly recommend this site.

You can do that with Microsoft Office Live Small Business - http://tinyurl.com/officelive . It comes 500mb of space and has no ads. It has a free online design tool that lets you create web pages without coding. You can also upload your own website to it via its webfolder (just activate third-party design tool option). Currently, MS is offering a free domain name (i.e. yoursite.com) for the first year.

theres no such thing as a "best free web host" doesnt exist, they suck, ads out the **** and back. low space, rarely get PHP/SQL
