Best friends girl???

OK so i have a best friend who ive had since 1st grade. we are everything alike except he is a little more sociable than me but I'm slightly more attractive than him (don't get me wrong hes not ugly). Well we think a lot a like play the same sports but the problem is we end up liking the same people. When we do like the same people I'm usually the one who gets the girl. So a few weeks back before school started he said he met a cute girl...he also told me to let him have her and to please not interfere... i said ok..now school has started and ive met her and talked and i'm starting to like her. Im trying my hardest to find someone else but my mind keeps coming back to her. Also my best friend has been showing a whole lot of interest in another girl. Wat should i do?

Find out from your best friend if its okay to get with her thats the only way to be sure if you can make a move.

wait a few more weeks, if he starts to really like that other girl and he TELLS you this then ask if its okay if you go after the girl you currently like. seriously is kinda like that with me and my cousin.. she always steals everyone :P

That is really hard, but my best friend and I are the same way with guys too. What I did when I was in a similar situation was just wait... It sucks, but you have to do it. Once your friend seems to really be more interested in this newer girl you should ask for the OK to go after this girl you like right now. If you like her that much, she's worth waiting for.
