Best graphic card currently?

what's the best graphic card currently?

is it radeon or geforce

i'm talking for games

and i'm not buying, i'm just asking

best would have to be the Nvidia GTX 280 but I would go with the ATI 4870  because of the price and its basically the same performance

I have had many computers come and go throughout my life. Technology changes and so do graphic cards. I do not dispute any of the answers you see here, and truly I don't see much difference between the cards you mention. For advertising purposes, some games will promote one card over the other but really there is not much difference.

For best results I would go for one that has lots of memory, built in processor, and prefer a heat sink fan over air cooled. Performance does deteriorate once the processor heats up.

Depends what games you want to play. But both cards the Ati Radeon hd4870 (x2) and the Nvidia GTX 280 are so well build you can't see much differances on the present games. You probably might see some differ in the games for next year.

Also gamemakers mosly build their games and then put an brand on it where the game is best played by. which is ATI or Nvidia.

But if you want price / quality then the ATI is better.
