  1. Hey SeBas

Thickness and thinness, big or small is irrelevant for the guitar. Choose the pick you are comfortable with and their is an old saying ath says to choose a pick according to your fingernail thickness.

If the nail is hard, get a hard pick and vice-versa.  So true in a way.

If you want speed and good control, get a 1mm pick  and stick with it. It is hard but for speed, it is the closest to a fingernail.

Jim Dunlops are good nylon picks and have a good grip on it as well.

    You're the boss !!!!!

Whatever you are comfortable with it, use it !!!!

  2. I would suggest Dunlop Tortex.  They have a nice grip.  For metal the thicker ones, probably green or blue are best.  I'd recommend starting with the green ones, they are kind of medium-thick.  Happy playing!

  3. for metal...you want a reasonably thick pick..to handle the fast up and down strokes of metal...but buy a selection of thick-ish picks to try them...you can only really know what you like when you have tried a few

  4. Yeah a thicker pick would be best, but you may find medium to thick sizes more comfortable. I did at first. It's better when learning so that you get a crisp loud note every time.
