Best hair straightener ? best hair protection spray to be used before straightening?

i have slight curly hair ,beautiful though.

i am ok with the free flowing curly hair. but the curls over the scalp are not looking nice.

i want to straighten only those curls that too occasionally.

tat the reason y i dont want to go 4r chemical permanent hair straightening( which is best acc to few)

SO PLEASE SUGGEST ME SOME GOOD COMPANY HAIR STRIAGHTENER WHICH DOESNT OVERHEAT N DAMAGE MY HAIR.

ALSO THE HAIR GEL/SPRAY WHICH I AM SUPPOSED TO USE BEFORE STRAIGHTENING THE HAIR

Well my hairdresser told me that hair straightners are no more damaging than blow drying once your hair is perfectly dry before you use them and that all of these products that claim to protect the hair are, well basically cr@p.  I use a GHD straightner and I find it amazing as I normally have the fuzziest hair in the world

i like the straitner called a chi but they have this new one out that straitens and curls you hair but i forgot the name...sorry

it's pretty expensive - i know, but i like the CHI, and i like to use the CHI 44-iron guard and CHI silk infusion for protection and shine (the silk infusion smells amazing!!)  you can get these things anywhere from online, like www.folica.com, to target (www.target.com) or beauty supply stores - like trade secret (it's where i got mine - it's a little cheaper than retail ,and they have i think a 3 year guarantee as long as you keep your receipt - which is really nice)
