For the FITNESS people out there!! I need your help. I have no experience using a pulse or hr monitor.

I need something that my 7 year old son can use. I'd like something that he won't have to push a button to see his heart rate. It would be great to have something that beeps to alert you if the heart rate goes over a certain amount, a reminder to look at it as he becomes more anxious (need to use it for biofeedback). I have looked at the wristwatch type and would like one like. Thanks - this is really important to us.

  1. Hello dear, I'm sorry but I have no helpful information on this.  II wonder if the websites for consumer reports (type that in) would help (they have tons of reviews from actual users and not sellers of items.)  Please let me take a moment to say I am deeply sorry for your responses from the #%*# idiots who have posted who know nothing about what you go through.  You are obviously such a good, caring mother to keep up with newest methods to help your son.  Keep the faith dear!  I bet one day your son will thank you with all his heart for all your deep dedication and hard work.

  3. The Polar F4 comes in a women's specific version that should fit a child.  It has an alarm function.  Definitely have a salesperson at d**k's/Sports Authority/Running Store get one out of the package for your son to try it out.

  4. Timex has great HRM for about $90.

  5. For goodness sake!. Leave your son alone. You r needing to check your your own heart rate.Your son is only 7. Leave him alone and do the heart thing on yourself. Your son is not a pawn. Do a course on anatomy and physiology. I feel sorry for your son with an uneducated person like u.
