  1. I personally would check with your local school district, they often have a ton of resources that you could access if needed and they may even be able to help you with ideas.

  2. I'm not sure if you are the individual that has what is called "dyslexia" or are the parent of the young person that is now dealing with what the label brings. I will answer as if you are the parent. I've  been there as a child  with "dyslexia", although when a child they didn't give my learning problem a name they just told my mother and father that  I could never learn. For many years I did not learn and my self-esteen was at rock bottom. I covered this up many times with a lot of anger and a bucket full of shame. I could not read as I entered middle school, but was forunate to meet a wonderful teacher tjhat proved to me that although school at that time was difficult for me that if I had the courage to get up each time that I was put down in the end I would be the winner. This teacher and my mother and father put me in the position that made it possible for me to WIN. I started to WIN and see that I had many strengths that I could use and be proud of. My self-esteen grew and grew. High School was not easy but I did well enough to enter college. College became less of a task and fun. I went on to get an additional degree. Life has been very interesting to me and each day I'm open to learn more and more. I don't want to make this too long however I will state that to me "dyslexia" became an advantage not something to overcome. I never over came "dyslexia" I used it. For you edification here is a very short list of others who have done the same: Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Bruce Jenner, Muhahammad Ali, Tom Cruise, Danny Glover, Jay Leno, Henry Ford, Charles Schwab, Albert Einstein, Alexander Graham Bell, Pierre Curie, Geoge Patton, John Lennon, Andrew Jackson, Nelson Rockefeller, Woodrow Wilson, George Washington, and on and on.
