I was all set to tell you my favorite hockey play- which occured in the SC playoffs in 2002- Game 7 of the Conference Finals- all Wings 7 goals.

in 92-93 while recovering from cancer, had he played in 80 games Lemieux was on pace to get 92 goals (tying Gretzky's single season record) and 121 assists (1 more than Gretzky had in 81-82, the season where Gretzky had a 92-120-212 mark) for a total of 213 points (just off Gretzky's mark of 52-163-215 in the 85-86 season) .. also take into account that the goalies had improved significantly from 81-82 and that he (Gretzky that is) was at "full health"

Do you mean player? Or do you mean the best play?  I agree, Gretzky is a god.  However, if you meant the other: there's one play by Pavel Bure where he kicks the puck back to himself and scores.  This was when he was a Canuck still.  Anyone else remember?

mario is the best player of all time. if he had been healthy and not had hodgkins disease, he would of broken most of gretzky's records.   currently, i do agree that sidney is the best y'all can hate on him but hes really good.

i must say i think its Stevie Y. he could captivate a crowd like no other. and in this league now, i think the best player id Nick Lidstrom , but AO will take over the league next year.
