  1. Arc The Hotel use to have amazing linens. I had to live there for a few months and I was impressed. That was during the tech boom so not sure if there has been cut backs since then.

The Chateau Laurier of course is the top hotel in Ottawa.

Also there is a new boutique hotel chain that opened a hotel downtown. The name alludes me but it is near The Arc and it has an elephant in the ads because the rooms are supposedly big.

I'd also consider the casino's hotel in Hull because it is new and the trend in hotels has been to have better beds the last few years.

  2. Hi there,

    Try Fairmont Chateau laurier

    or

    Les Suites hotels or Westin

I have had clients stay there all good/pricey though.

    cheers

  3. The hotel Henry is thinknig of is the Inn at Bay Suites, which is mostly like a hotel-apartment style, which is quite nice. Chateau Laurier is upscale, very upscale, and they have nice linens...but not *that* nice.

Arc would be my vote for upscale and nice linens--friensd stayed their for her honeymoon and raved!!!

Otherwise, for good value, try the Mariott, or Courtyard by Mariott. I have had good experiences with both of these, as have my parents, who are in their sixities and have back/leg problems.

  4. Pricier hotels like The Westin and the Chateau

Laurier would probably have 'the best' and be happy

to accomodate you, but I'd phone first.

The Westin in Ottawa - They even have something they call 'the Heavenly Bed experience' - Call them 1st..

    The Westin:

    11 Colonel By Drive

    Ottawa, ON K1N 9H4, Canada

    (613) 560-7000

    The Chateau Laurier:

However, we do have many many others that are not as pricey, and just a phone call away:  I've stayed at this one, "The Southway Inn" in Ottawa, and they have apt. suites, and our company uses them for out-of-town corporate stay-overs:

    2431 Bank Street

    Ottawa, ON K1V 8R9, Canada

Good luck, I know you'll find one within your price range.
