Best hotel for kids in Orlando?

Question

I was thinking about staying at the Nick Holiday Inn Hotel in Orlando. Has anyone ever stayed there? I would like to stay somewhere close to Universal Studios.

I have heard good reviews about the Nick hotel however I am a big Disney hotel fan. You just can't beat their service. You also get a large variety of different hotels to choose from, like the All Star Resorts are the cheapest but still cute or Caribbean Beach which gives you the feel of the Islands while being close to all the action. And they're not too far from the Universal Parks so that shouldn't be an issue.

If you want to stay really close, check out Universal's web site for their on-location hotels (they're usually pretty pricey so buyer beware).

Nick is the best!

The kids will not want to leave hotel.

the nick hotel is definately family oriented. the best hotel for no kids is either hard rock cafe or The Buena Vista Palace resort and spa. if you have kids you need to make sure they are not screaming at 11:00 at night like the people that keep breeding like roaches, not to mention they are.

Our friends take their kids there a few times a year, (get free stays with reward point) and they love it.  We used to do waterpark hotels up in Wisconsin Dells, and the big difference is Nick's waterpark is outdoors.  Have you seen their website?  What's not to like for kids?  We're big Disney freaks, but that Nick hotel is an attraction in itself.
