  1. All hotels have ADA accessible rooms, but you have to ask for them in advance.  Let them know someone in a wheelchair will be a guest and they will do everything to make your stay fantastic.  I know because I did it for my Mother.  I think the Mandalay Bay is very easy to move about with large aisles.

Some buses are wheelchair accessible as well as taxicabs.

  2. im pretty sure most hotels are wheelchair accesisable ( i know i spelt that wrong sorry lol) .. i have muscle weakness so when i go away i am in a wheelchair too ( especially in Vegas- a lot of walking) .... i stayed at the MGM and i don't remember having any problems. Hope this helps and i hope you have a great time wherever you go & stay :]

  3. The public buses are the best transportation for someone in your husband's condition.  All of the strip buses(CAT, or Citizen's Area Transit) have room for wheelchairs, and people are asked to move if need be.  Most of the major casinos have elevators.  Getting around should not be a problem!

  4. You can try hotel search in http://www.AmericaCheapHotels.com where you can read hotel reviews and comments, see photos and its physical locations through maps, details about important nearby locations ....

Best thing is you can compare the USA/worldwide hotel prices in any city in any country in your local currency.

You can find good deals because this compares hotel prices from 30 best travel websites.

You can even able to filter out hotel by its features such as Star hotels,Business Center, Room Service, High-speed Internet, Fitness Room, Restaurant Parking, Swimming pool, Pets Allowed, Airport shuttle, Handicap Accessible, Concierge ...

Access lots of USA and worldwide travel information.

  5. My mother came out to Vegas in Spet 2007 and she is wheelchair bound with MS. She stayed at MGM for a week and then went off traveling and Luxor for the last night. She did not like Luxor and found it difficult to get around.

She had a Bungalow suite (not a handicap room) at MGM Grand and we arranged an electric scooter through the hotel so she could get round on her own and she loved it. The bathroom was big with a huge shower and they provided a seat for the shower and she could easily get ina and out,. She found navigation round the hotel easy and went off to get breakfast and things on her own (usually she is very reliant on my Dad), she made her own way down to Christophes to have her hair done and even went up and down the Strip in a taxi, as the guys that get the taxis would not let her wait in line and got a special taxi for her straight away. I honestly think its the best place that we could have taken her and it actually brings a tear to my eye thinking how happy she looked. 6. I see a lot of people in wheelchairs in the casinos. Some people prefer downtown since Freemont street is closed to automobile traffic and they can freely drive their scooters and wheelchairs from casino to casino. On any given day I see dozens of people that are disabled, and several paraplegics. The Golden Nugget is probably the best place to stay downtown.

  7. I dont know about other places but when I stayed at Fistgeralds on Freemont Street they had a tour but of handicap people stay there.

Before you make your decision I strongly suggest looking at what Vegas.com says on this subject. See the source listed below.

  8. I don't know about the buses, but I do know that Marriott hotels have handi-capped accessible rooms.  All you have to do is tell them when you're going and let them know it has to be handicapped accessible.  They'll work with a special desk to get it guaranteed if possible or do everything they can to make it work.
