I need some more variety! What are some nutritious meals/snacks that I can provide to my son. I have a hard time, b/c I'm a very picky eater and tend to eat a lot of the same things. So it's difficult to find different things for him to eat when I don't know how to prepare them. Also, what are the best choices to make when it comes to particular foods? Here is what may be a typical menu for my son...so you can get an idea of what he's already getting.

Breakfast: a container of Gerber fruit, a slice of whole wheat toast, and a sippy of 100% juice

Lunch: 2 containers of Gerber veggies (so far, besides peas, it's the only way he'll eat "adult" veggies), a mini banana, and sippy of whole milk

Dinner: a Gerber stage 2 dinner (his tastes are changing, so he'll only eat a few different ones) or whatever we're having and a sippy of milk

Snacks: (one between breakfast and lunch, lunch and dinner, and before bed) one or two of the following...whole wheat crackers, cheerios, diced fruit, yogurt, cheese, "sunny days" breakfast bars, etc. and always water w/ snacks

  1. You can also provide one of the strawberry or chocolate shake things that they sell in the baby isle. They are healthy and provide all kinds of vitamins for his little body. I would also try giving him some of the puff snacks from Gerber. Good luck.
