Battlefield Rest in South Side. Great atmos and food is fanatstic. You have to book though. Price Ã‚Â£8-15 for main course; they do a pre-theatre menu for 5 till 8 pm which is excellent value at about Ã‚Â£11 for three courses. Personal service by the Italian owners who enjoy a bit of banter with you.

La Dolce (something?!!) in George Square is really good and not too expensive either.

Toni's in Renfield St and Pulcinella in Hope St both do pre theatre about ÃƒÂ‚Ã‚Â£10 a head but also have a la carte, O Sole Mio on Bath St is great but you will need to book as always busy.
