Best kayak to purchase for rivers and lakes?

What is the best kayak for river and lake? No rudders cuz river is too shallow. What would be the best buy for my money. Sit upon or not?

I sell kayaks all day long. Anyway, the Old town Loon 111  sounds like the best kayak for your intentions. It has a large cockpit, tracks very well (it tracks like a longer boat), but is very maneuverable in smaller areas.

There are tons of boats out there.  It depends on what you are gonna do.  Sit on tops are good for beginners, but your gear will get all wet.  In my opinion, the best all around white water boat is the RPM by Perception.  An excellent boat for intermediate and advanced boaters.  If your looking for a bargain, get a larger older boat, they also carry more gear and are great for camping.  Where are you planning on using it?
