Best kind of camera for amateur "wannabe" teen photographers.?

im 15, ive been doing this for like.. 3 years. ive sent my photos out and all responses tell me that i need to get a better quality of camera.. any CHEAP ideas?

  1. You have a couple of ways to go.

    Spend about $100 on a used Nikon or Canon 35 mm SLR and start learning how to use it.  The image quality will not suffer from the problems found on most inexpensive P&S digital cameras ... lack of detail and/or noisy images.  The other is to save your money  and plan on spending around $175 to $200 on a good inexpensive P&S camera, but you will notice that that P&S cameras will not give you any control over the f/stop, shutter speed or choice of lenses.  All three are important if you wish to be a photographer, not a P&S operator


  2. The Canon Rebel XTI. It's one of the cheapest SLR's right now yet it has some of the highest ratings and sold more than other SLR cameras last year, although now they have the new Canon XSI for $800, you can get the Rebel XTI for $500--$600.

    I would wait for a sale though.

  3. Get a canonSD750.

    And use photoshop.
