Best kind of engineering job that deals with all sorts of technology?

I'd like to find an interesting computer job, that deals with hardware and software. What kind of jobs are in the computer engineering field? I need a list that I could research on.

  2. You may want to look in to Electrical Engineering too.

    I think you are looking for a job in R&D and may need to get a Masters Degree.

  3. If you're interested in computer hardware and software, you need not be limited to just computer engineering anymore. Nearly every field of engineering has demand for young engineers experienced in computers and technology.

    For instance, I'm a civil engineer. Civil Engineering is considered by many to be the most "down-to-earth" form of engineering, and as a result requiring less interaction with technology. Even so, we use amazingly advanced computer models and field equipment almost on a daily basis, and we're constantly keeping our eyes our for the next big thing in technology to help advance our science. Now, if someone could get that involved in computers in civil engineering, imagine what you would be exposed to in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering, for example. You really could enter any field of engineering and find a nice niche for yourself.
