How many inches is best?? I like larger screens but I'm going to be carrying it to class. Also, if there's any specific laptops you like, please let me know. I'd really like good speakers and maybe a webcam. Thanks!

  1. Get a MacBook from Apple. Its the perfect size.

  2. 13" MacBook would be ideal for you.

    From $1099 less student discount

  3. I was going to answer the smallest seems like the best idea.. easiest to bring everywhere, especially when you have other things in your bag to carry along with it, etc. But then you said you liked the bigger screens and named all this stuff you want with it.. so I dunno now. I guess just get the one you like best, as long as if fits your needs that's all that matters. I do have to say, my laptop has a built-in webcam at the top of the screen, so that's handy. So you could look for one like that.

  4. i would get a mac, they are very niceee(:

  5. lenovo thinkpad X200

  6. I would go with any 15.4 inch Dell computer because they weigh under 5 pounds while having a pretty descent sized screen. Dell computer usually last long and are very reliant and fast. Bottom line, a 15.4 inch is the perfect medium.

    - I would recommend a 17 inch laptop if you were the type to watch movies and play games, but like you said you do have to carry it around.

Also try Compaq laptops they are good too (made by HP)

  7. hp dv6000. great speakers, built in cam, and a screen big enough. trust me i had da exact same q and i bought this computer nd love it

  8. i just got a 14.1 inch sony vaio cr and it's awful. the speakers are so bad and weak. vista is horrible.  all the sound setting have been downgraded. pictures are boxy. i think ur best bet is a mac. it's tiny and slim. no lumps or stickers. clean and works great. 13.3 inches. is decent.

  9. ahh take it from a college student... ME

I've had larger screened (wide) with 10 keys

I've had normal 14-15 inch screens as well

its still heavy.. keep in mind you will hae 40 pounds of books to lung around as well...

I would get the smallest you can afford...

the lil tables in the lecture halls do not hold a normal size laptop anyway

  10. Go with a 15.4 inch Sony Vaio. They have great quality and good resale value.
