Best leather cleaner?

What is the best leather cleaner and conditioner you have used? I've used lexol in the past and I just don't like it very well. I want something that is really going to clean my saddles and a conditioner that nourishes the leather and protects it.

  1. The Mock Brothers Saddlery in Tulsa that have made saddles for years recommend cleaning saddles with water & tide. The Saddle Making Instructor from Okmulgee told me to use Extra Virgin Olive Oil to oil. He said that's what new saddles are oiled with when their made. I love this combination. He said be sure to not pour the oil on & over saturate.

  2. I use The Original Australian Leather Seal. It's awesome. It works great & smells good & makes my hands soft. =] I use it on my saddle, leather halter, bridle, boots, everything. & a lil bit goes a long way.

  3. Tattersall Soap, Stubben Glycerine Saddle Soap, and Effax Leder Balsam.

I don't usually use a particular order. I just use one of the soaps that I listed above or there is also castle soap which works wonders. After throughly wiping them down with the soap, I take a towel and remove the excess gunk and then oil the leather with neatsfoot oil which helps preserve the leather really nicely.

  4. I asked the same question a while back and tried leather CPR, after several people reccommended it.  I LOVE it!  I still use lexol cleaner and conditioner every once in a while, just to switch it up (like you would with shampoo).  The CPR really does do wonders.  After I switched, I got several new compliments on my saddle, probably because it looked extra shiny.

  5. I've tried a million different products. Lexol definitely wasn't on the top ten list. Leather CPR, Miracle Soap, Leather Therapy, and Amerigo soft clean are some of my favorites. Urad is THE BEST for tall boots.

  6. Belvoir saddle soap

    Effax leather balm

  7. i use passier & i wouldn't recommend it for boots, but for my saddle its pretty good. it smells a bit funky though.

  8. Ive seen the Leather CPR which you can get at www.tractorsupply.com or www.horse.com . the Lexol leather cleaners work really well you probably just need a different kind of lexol. You can get that at the same places. Hope I could help!

  9. I swear by leather CPR i love it sooooooooooooo much lol
