  1. 95-97 civic, unreal on gas, really reliable, nice and fast, and beautiful. by far the best car all around for your money, dont go with sunfires or cheap chevs, go import for cheap cars, cuz they'll last forever

  2. Honda Civic.

    You won't be disappointed.

    The only reason someone gets rid of that car is because they get bored of it after having it for so long. They last forever.

  3. VW is trash for reliability. they also have high resale and thus are hard to find in that price range with decent miles and poor for class on gas.

    right now mitsubishi lancers (02-03) and nissan sentras (01-03) can be found in that price range if one shops around.

    for reliability, check the link i've included, note how far down VW is and realize that is a significant improvement over 3-5 years ago (the age you'll be looking at) when they were dead last on the list.

  4. any honda

    acura

    some toyota aren't that good

    nissan has had transmission problems

  5. Jeep Patriot - I love mine and it's American-made.  I just bought it this year, and I'm very happy with it.  Excellent gas mileage, but still has lots of room to carry everything (like my kayak!). You can probably find a used model for the price above.

  6. VW golf

  7. Ford Taurus. Very safe car and good on gas. Most models even use the e85 stuff.

  8. My son who is a mechanic at a GM dealer would agree with the sentiment about the VW Golf - (he has one) biut would qualify that by adding that diesels are best.

  9. vespa scooter

    lol =]

    ur cute

  10. any toyota.. don't buy an american car.. you'll be royally disappointed.

  11. VW Golf most reliable, most widely available parts.nuff said.
