This is not meant personally , but its a c**p question,  simply because the  AFL,has Caroline Wilson on the rules committee,  and rule changes, have stuffed the game, in particular the "in the back", nightmare rule .

In years past players could launch themselves for a big grab, and be awarded... now a player would have 10 odd thoughts, should I go for it, will I give away a free ., will I disadvantage MY team, will I get dragged, etc etc..by that time 4 thoughts, have past,and  so to the chances of a big grab.   Today like yester year, is "not"going to happen..

I would say Scott Lucas and Russell Robertson. RICHO is a good mark but usually couldnt hit a barn door from 20 paces.

Oh bugger I'm agreeing (almost) with Dubya AGAIN!  No it's a good question just a c**p rule.  And some consistency in the judging of an unrealistic leap would be really nice.

I think the Cats got a fair run in the GF umpiring (if a little too fair even), but one incident springs to mind when Mooney went the speccie in the last ten minutes or so when it was showtime, touched but didn't grab the ball and was penalised.  Well a player isn't gonna bother if it's take it or give it way ruling.

Now an answer to the question ... oh I hate saying this but Leaping Leo Barry has been pretty good the past few years.  Brad Fisher ... yep OK fair call.  And Kingy ...mark of the new century I reckon :-)

Leon Davis (Collingwood) takes the most freaky marks - so entertaining!

Special mention to Stephen King who took a mark after launching himself off the umpires back this year!!  Too funny!

Because i'm biased Peter Knights was a good leaping mark

Robertson from Melbourne always took the high leaping marks

Steve Silvagni - took that screamer when he landed on his head too.

and for a big man Jeff white has always been able to take a good grab
