I am interested in learing some form of self defense. I am a young woman, and I am under 5'5", 120lbs. My goal is not to compete or intimidate. I just want to be able to defend my self if neccesary.

Wing chun would help. Small women should never learn a boxers punch because it requires to much movement and twisting. Staying square and using your body mass to deliver a wing chun vertical punch, finger thrust,palm strike etc is effective, plus if you find a good instructor it wont take you long to learn and you can make it suit you.
