Best meter and cheapest strips?

why do strips cost so much

All meters are just as accurate as the next, which is to say, not extremely.

Right off the shelf, walmart's 'relion' brand meter is under 45$ for 100 ct strips, which is Pretty d**n Cheap.

The alternative, which I make liberal use of, is EBAY. Get on it! I can get 100ct accu-chek aviva strips, which retail for 100-110$, for around 50$. Also, the 'american diabetes wholesale' site has aviva strips for 63$, which is a pretty good deal too.
