Best microscope?

what is the best type of microscope for viewing marine life that is to small to see with the naked eye? I know they are expensive so i would like to find one taht is not so expensive but is of decent viewing quality! thank you

If you are considering the purchase for home use, or a scientific hobby, consider a relatively inexpensive brand name, such as Bausch and Lomb.

They should have plenty of models, and, because they have world wide distribution, replacement parts should be easily available.
