1. Favorite Drinks to make:

    Long Island Ice Tea:

    1/2 oz. Vodka

    1/2 oz. Light Rum

    1/2 oz. Gin

    1 oz. Triple Sec

    1-2 oz. Sour Mix

    1-2 oz. Cola

    Lemon Wedge

I don't put Tequila in mine...

    Vesper (007 James Bond's Martini):

3 oz. Gin (usually Gordon's Gin)

    1 oz. Vodka

0.5 oz. Lillet Blanc or Dry Vermouth

    Lemon Twist

    Shaken...not stirred..and served extra chilled.

    Top Shelf Margarita, Rox, Salt:

1 1/2 oz. "top shelf" Tequila

    1/2 oz. Cointreau

    1/2 oz. Grand Marnier

    1/2 oz. Rose's Lime Juice

    3 oz. Sour Mix

Rim glass with salt and add a Lime Wheel. Sometimes I just go with an ounce of Cointreau or an ounce of Grand Marnier depending on the customers preference. Or if just making a regular margarita go with regular Triple Sec in replace or the Cointreau/Marnier.

You sound young so I am going to also tell you the symptoms of alcohol poisoning. Hopefully, you will never need these:

    Unconscious or semiconsciousness.

Slow respiration (breaths) of eight or less per minute or lapses between breaths of more than eight seconds.

Cold, clammy, pale or bluish skin.

In the event of alcohol poisoning, these signs and symptoms will most likely be accompanied by a strong odor of alcohol.

If you encounter a person who exhibits one or more of the signs and symptoms CALL 911. Do what you would do in any medical emergency--call immediately.

While waiting for 911 emergency transport, gently turn the intoxicated person on his/her side and maintain that position by placing a pillow in the small of the person's back. This is important to prevent aspiration (choking) should the person vomit.

Stay with the person until medical help arrives.

If a person appears to be "sleeping it off" it is important to realize that even though a person may be semi-conscious, alcohol already in the stomach may continue to enter the bloodstream and circulate throughout the body.

The person's life may still be in danger. If you are having difficulty in determining whether an individual is acutely intoxicated, contact a health professional immediately--you cannot afford to guess.

  3. I posted this self-created drink several months ago (I haven't given it a name yet): 2 shots of vodka (nothing cheaper than Absolut), 2 shots of peach schnapps (90 proof), & 1 shot of Grand Marnier (orange-flavored cognac) -- The reason for the schnapps to be 90 proof is that all the liquors should be kept in the freezer, & 40 proof will freeze (who wants their drink diluted w/ melting ice?) I pour the vodka, schnapps, & cognac (in that order) into a small brandy snifter, & just swirl them in the glass (or very lightly stir them). You can get by cheaper by omitting the cognac, & using Mandarin Absolut instead of plain. It's got a fuzzy navel flavor -- only it kicks like it's on steroids! Enjoy!

  5. there are so many and so many people have different tastes, i love a vodka madrist, its one part vodka, one part orange juice, and one part cranberry.

    Senators Sweet Stuff

"Red (cranberry), gold (banana), and black (coffee) are the colours of the Ottawa Senators. I invented this drink while living in Toronto, just so I could bug the h**l out of the Leafs fans. The drink is fairly sweet, which is why I decided to add the club soda. It cuts the sweetness a bit." Inventor & contributor: Tori E.

    1 oz banana liqueur

    1 oz coffee liqueur

    cranberry juice

    club soda

Fill glass with ice. Pour in liqueurs. Fill with equal parts club soda and cranberry juice.

    The Drunken Monkey

Mike Lenk in Bakersfield, Ca. invented the drink. It's origin came from a party where "flaming hot pumpkin pies" were the drink of choice, but they were messy. Mike was introduced to 99 Bananas (99 proof banana schnaps) at the Hyatt Regency cocktail lounge in Long Beach via a drink called "Jamaican Me Crazy" and loved it. Mike developed his own array of drinks made using 99 Bananas with great success- however that drank too much 99 Bananas sometimes turned toward the dark side.

His friend TMWAF, The Monkey With A Fez, (a wooden monkey who is a devout Cleveland Browns Fan who Mike treats as a real monkey) suggested 99 Bananas as a shot, but being 99 proof, it took ones breath away. Mike thought he needed to "tone it down" a bit and came up with the perfect mix. The strong banana flavor is toned down by the Baileys, and the sweetness of the Kahlua. It WORKED! In fact 85 to 90% of those that try a Drunken Monkey really like them.. and to date 100% of the parties Mike has taken his Drunken Monkeys to have been a blast!

DISCLAIMER: Be careful, Drunken Monkeys taste like an adult milkshake (they are pretty sweet), but they actually average about 68 proof. It's easy to have one more Drunken Monkey than you need.

A local restaurant, R.J.'s has placed it on their specialty drink list (as a martini), and they have sold quite a few. Mike keeps suggesting they serve shots, and one of these days they will.

    1 oz 99 Bananas® banana schnapps

    1/2 oz Bailey's® Irish cream

    1/2 oz Kahlua® coffee liqueur

Pour ingredients over ice into martini shaker. Shake well, pour shot(s) , serve, and your party will turn more fun than a barrell of monkeys!

Drunken Monkey's can also be served on the rocks, or as a martini, (just make certain there are 2 parts 99 Bananas, and one part Baileys, one part Kahlua) but shots are preferred.
