hi, hoping to pass my direct access soon. What is a good starter bike. I was thinking of 500-600cc. Don't really fancy getting a 125cc only having to upgrade in a couple of years. Thanks

  1. suzuki bandit 600, is a good starter on a big bike,  insurance isnt bad either. you can get a half decent one for about a grand now

  2. Ive owned many bikes and as a good stater 600cc i would recommend the Suzuki Bandit 600 its a reliable bike and easy to maintain oh and they go like stink lol have fun be safe ;)

  3. Kawasaki ninja

  4. Go with Honda, not Yamaha or Suzuki. Honda ensures good response, performance and combustion efficiency of the  engine, also gives a comfortable ride and lively performance

  5. get the 1000

  6. duccati

  7. Suzuki SV650 is a good starter. Its a great looking bike, with a low insurance bracket. Not too much of a lye down n ride, but gives you the tourer feel so not much pressure on your wrists. Its also a gr8 looking sporty bike, especially the fully fa-ired version. Take a look at one from round about a 2005 model

  8. Another vote for the SV650! See how you feel on the bike they give you for the direct access... too much power... too little etc. Ask the instructors advice... they're there to help.
