Question:

Best mousse for curly hair?

I have curly hair and it is very hard to keep it from becoming frizzy. What is the best way to style curly hair when it is wet? And what mousse or leave in conditioner is the best without making my hair feel hard?

Thanks =]

  1. i use pantene's hydrating curls, then i blow dry it with a diffuser and it comes out really nice and not hard at all =] (unless you use too much lol)

  2. I have kinky curly frizzy hair too. I have probably tried 30+ products in the past five years, no joke. I never got it to look all luscious and pretty like magazine ad curly hair. Then I tried cutting out silicones (any ingredient that ends in -one is a silicone), since they make me break out really bad. My hair has been so awesome! Silicones really dry out hair even though they're meant to eliminate frizz. So you just end up using more and more and your hair gets frizzier and frizzier. Now I use herbal essences dangerously straight mousse (even when I style it curly), leave in conditioner, and jonathan texturizing paste.

  3. Mine is the same way. I have tried many, many things but the most effective of mousses that i've tried were the Garnier Fructis ones.

    If you don't mind your hair being a little crunchy...

    But if you would rather have soft curls, go with the Aussie Sprunch hair spray. It's the best.

  4. any type of schwarzkopf leave-in conditioner is really good, and smells great.

  5. I got this stuff from suave, cause my hair sounds like yours... its in a green bottle... i cant remember what it is, but its by suave. look at walmart cause thats where i got mine

  6. I also have curly hair and it also gets really frizzy. It took me years to figure it out. But as for mousse I like L'Oreal Springing Curls. Then when I don't feel in the mood for mousse I use Matrix Curl Life Contouring Cream. Then if you don't wash your hair everyday for the next day when your curls have frizzed or they aren't as upbeat as the day before I like to use Matrix Curl Life All Day Re-activator. (It comes in a spray bottle.) I have found that the right shampoo also helps with the frizz. I alternate between Herbal Essences Totally Twisted (Purple Bottle) and Matrix Curl Life(Green Bottle). (However The Matrix stuff is sometimes is a bit harder to come by. You can't get it at Wal-mart or Target but CVS or Walgreens should have it as well as any beauty salon.
