  1. I would put a vote in for Nature's Way Alive.  They claim to be using raw vegetables obtaining the vitamins in their product.

  2. Last year, I wrote one of the most complete monographs on vitamin D that has ever been published, and I would like to share some of that information with you here, as well as provide some updates on new research that has been published in the past few months. I think that by the time you have finished reading this column, you will have a new appreciation for vitamin D and its ability to help you and your patients toward your goals of optimal health.

  3. Catalyn by Standard Process is amazing. It's a whole food supplement.

  4. I am a Shaklee distributor and we have a multi called vita lea.  All of the shaklee supplements have been tested by 75 scientists and shaklee has invested millions on research and development.  Check out www.shaklee.net/kandi. Best of luck!

  5. quality of ingredients, what is used in the processing, and absorption of the materiel into your bloodstream are huge factors in the quality of a vitamin. If you go pay 4 dollars for a multi, you are likely to just pass it through your bowel and not absorb it. Also, the quality of ingredients will be less, which is important when you are taking herbs, as cheaper ones have more of a likelihood of not being tested for toxins in the plant, coming from soil quality issues, etc.

There are several products on the market that are not sold in stores, but can be purchased through a chiropractor or naturopath. These are the best of the best.

A second to that would be New Chapter, found a many health food stores. That brand is life changing. It really makes a difference. I was taking something else before that, and when I switched, I literally felt my body changing after a month or two- many things in my body started functioning properly.

p.s. don't let anyone tell you you don't need a multi-vitamin, and that you can get all you need from your food. This was true 100 years ago, but today, our soil is over farmed and depleted, and everything is full of processed sugars which deplete and leech nutrients from your body while you digest them. Unless you want to become a hippie organic farmer and a hermit, you need a multivitamin.

  6. my vote goes to Willvite from Willner chemists in New york City... Willner.com... 4 a day and you would be hard pressed to find anything missing or weak or poor quality.

  7. There is a huge variety of multivitamins available--some saying they are better for men, some better for women, etc. They are all basically the same...the ingredients aren't usually all that different from product to product although the manufacturers will try to make you think so! I always recommend buying whatever "all purpose" multivitamin is cheapest at the time.

  8. By "the best" vitamins I imagine you mean organic natural vitamins and not the synthetic stuff. Organic are gentle on the stomach and have a higher absolution rate. I would go with Nutrilite. They have organic farms in Washington State and California and were the first supplement company. They have the highest quality PERIOD. As far as an organic multivitamin, take Nutrilite Double X Vitamin/Mineral/Phytonutrient. As you can see, it is more than a multivitamin. It also contains minerals and phytonutrient. There is also Nutrilite Daily Multivitamin/Multimineral if you are wanting something simple. Go to http://Arcameda.com and click on vitamins then Multivitamin to get more information on these.  If you have any further questions, go to my profile to email me. Hope all is well.
