  3. time.  get some sunshine.  go for a jog or do something moderately strenuous, get the blood pumping and the lungs breathing.  and, if at all possible, dont smoke while you're sick.

  4. If the cough is due to a cold or bronchitis, then it may take a while for it to subside since smoking compromises your immune system.

If the cough is chronic, that it, if you have it all the time whether you have a cold or not, then it's a smokers cough and it will not go away until you quit.

My husband and I smoked for many years.  The last few years, he developed a smokers cough.  It wasn't constant but almost every day he was coughing like he had a cold.  We both quit smoking 2 years ago and his cough stopped completely within just a couple of months.

Sorry, I wish there was something you could take to make it better, but if it really is a smokers cough, there isn't.

  5. stop smoking is the only way. there is no easy way out.

  6. THC... yup that's right thc the main chemical found in cannabis is proven to dilate your air ways in your lungs. and it also breaks down nicotine in your lungs... so after smoking marijuana u will cough up alot of  tar.... and you will start feeling better.... if u can get hash that's better less leaf material = less chemicals like chlorophyll

  7. See a doctor.  Cut other expenses to find the money to pay the doctor.

A persistent cough with congestion in a smoker can be a sign of serious disease like emphysema, asthma, bronchitis or lung cancer.

You need to see a doctor as well as quitting smoking.
