Who was the greatest commander of the Napoleonic Wars?

Was there a greatest soldier?

What unit saw the most action?

What unit had the coolest uniforms? =P

  1. I think a lot of what you asked "greatest/coolest" is subjective.  The site below lists the commanders.  You can pick who you think is the greatest commander.


  2. Napoleon's surname, in the original Corsican form, is "Buonaparte," which means "Best Part,"

    in Italian. During the long period when he was victorious, he saw some of the "best part" of war.

    There was an Italian writer, Curzio Malaparte, who wrote an autobiography titled, "La Pelle," His surname means "Bad Part," in Italian. He wrote about events of the mid-20th Century, including the World War II period. He saw, and describer, some of the "bad part" of war.
