Question:

Best option to move temporarily in Calgary, Canada?

I am currently considering my choices as to the best way to temporarily move to Calgary, Canada.

I am a 33 year old female Australian Citizen. My boyfriend lives in Calgary. We have been back and forth and think Calgary is the best option to live for now.

I have looked through the Canadian Consultate's website in regards to which Visa I could apply for. Unfortunately, as far as working visa's go, I do not think I have much of a chance as I do not have a degree (I run my own graphic design biz - my boyfriend has a secure job in the IT field.). But, if I could secure sponsorship of some sort or a work visa, this would be the best option I think. With a holiday visa, I could only stay 3 mths max and of course not work in that time. Which is not really an option.

I am just wondering if anyone else out there has been in a similar position and could offer some advice.

Thank you in anticipation.

Karen
