What is the best pain medication for swimmers ear?

  1. Honestly I don't know, but I would recommend extra strength aspirin. Sorry about the pain.


  2. You need to just get some over the counter liquid (I forget what its called) at your local pharmacy and then just take Ibuprofen or Aleve for the inflammation.

    I would stay away from any type of Narcotic.

  3. Check with your parents first!

    Simple plain hydrogen peroxide in the ear can help. Let it 'bubble', then turn your head to let it run out. Repeat once, same way. DO NOT DO MORE; you'll get out too much necessary ear wax.

    Don't swim for 7-10 days. You should consider shortening swim-time. Ear-plugs may help after healed; ask Mom. Good luck! :)

  4. They sell over the counter drops for swimmers ear, including homeopathic (natural) remedies. Tylenol or Motrin will help with discomfort.
