Question:

Best paint color for kitchen part II...

I know I've asked this before, but now I have pictures (below). I have cabinets that are a medium oak color. I would like to frame these prints in a dark burnished walnut frame. I like a clay color with a touch of gray for the walls. I am also installing some artsy off-white pendant lighting in the kitchen as well. Your thoughts on color.

  1. sherwin williams RYEGRASS

  2. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

They have a color called "sandbank" (# 6052) that seems similar to the clay-gray that you describe.

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  3. love the art work. if you are choosing to go with a clay/gray color and off white lighting fixtures, then i would go with the dark brown for your cabinetry the med. oak may not blend as well as a darker brown. if you cant change it, then go with black picture frames and some more black art work to tie all the pieces together
