  1. how long for a month or 2 daft.ie.for a few days try visitdublin.ie or travelodge.com. D4hotels for cheap room in a 4-5 star hotel.

  2. http://www.dublinevents.com/dublin-guest...

  3. Isaac's are central. Four friends of mine who have travelled independently all over Europe with three children each enjoyed staying there, they found it reasonable, clean & easy to reach on foot from trains & buses, close to every public transport base, within walking distance of O'Connell Street and in an affordable sector.

Great tip from wwfc79 - check everywhere out on TripAdvisor The reviews make you think about what you are looking for. I've read reviews from people who wanted to bring a cat/were allergic to cats. Now how can a proprietor read people's minds if they don't state what they might want? It won't be just like home, but that's why we travel, right?

  4. Bearing in mind you did say cheap.......

We stayed in a ground floor flat in sandymount - it was opposite the beach, a short walk to Sandymount village with local shops and pubs! and a 15 min bus ride from outside the door, going past the old Boland's Mill to Trinity College right in the centre.

Yes, it was cheap (and a teeny bit ropey, but not too bad, enough sleeping accom/bedrooms and s/c kitchenette) It was 'grand' for us as they say. But we liked it cos of the beach for the kids and the city close by for us.

I just did a search for apartment and sandymount strand. Hope that helps!
