  1. hi you

there is some lovely spots in boat cork and Kerry

  2. County Leitrim is one of the most beautiful places in Ireland.

Even though it is the least populated, it has many pubs and hotels for night activities!

Check out the river shannon, Lough allen, Glencar waterfall etc.

  3. dublin.

  4. Northern Ireland is really pretty so my friends told me and the resorts are not too crowded

  5. oh take her to the gleneagle, killarney co. kerry

u'l both love it its really special and romantic a perfect place for a weekend wedding anniversary

  6. Well, you can't go wrong, that's for sure.  The west coast of Ireland is the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen.  The island of Inishmore would be a lovely, romantic place to go on an anniversary.  We took a ferry over and stayed at Man of Aran B & B which was a cool little cottage with a thatched roof.  We spent days exploring the island.  The northern part is to die for.  Up near Giant's Causeway...it is so lovely--the cliffs and the castles!  We rented a car and drove from the southern most point to the northern most point on the west side of the country.  There is so much to see--so many amazing sites....you just can't go wrong!

  7. Limerick is really nice-well county limerick oh and dingle-no no wait killarney is really nice-im half irish and i get to visit ireland in the summer . Oh yeah ballyheigue (if im spelling it right is very nice too) and trallee  Anyone here agrees with me>???

    Kiss me im irish

    hehe

  8. Northern Ireland,  would say the mournes

its a beautiful part of Ireland

  9. If you are more into the touristy aspects of travel, then go to the South, Co. Kerry or any other.

If you want to go to a sparsely populated area with really great scenery then go to Donegal.

It is my understanding that is where the Irish go on Holiday.

I spent 3 weeks traveling all over Ireland and Northern Ireland.  I have been back twice and spent my entire time in Co. Donegal.

  10. For nightlife, go to Dublin City.

For good sceneries, go to the West (like Galway, etc.).

    For pilgrimmage, go to Knock.

For great seafood, go to Donegal.

There are lots of places to see in Ireland. I'm glad you're spending your first anniversary here.

  11. anywhere along the caost in donegal

    the scenery is breath taking

  12. The Ring of Kerry, you cant go wrong there.

  13. Your safest bet is probably the Dublin-Belfast corridor. It is basically a 100mile stretch on the east coast of Ireland that runs between Belfast and Dublin. The 'Enterprise' train service runs several trains going in each direction every day along this corridor. About 1/3 of the population of Ireland lives in either Belfast or Dublin, not to mention the nightlife, shopping and tourist destinations these two cities have to offer. Half the population of Ireland lives somewhere along the Dublin-Belfast corridor.

  14. Try Dingle in Co Kerry , Im Irish and try to make it there every year for a quick recharge ,

  15. Dublin is the pits!

Go west to Connemara. Can recommend Roundstone.

  16. Dingle in County Kerry is definitely a beautiful destination with lots to see and do and stunning scenery.

Also, for a wedding anniversary, i know a hotel that would be perfect .. it is in a place called Kenmare which is similer to Dingle. The hotel is called Sheen Falls Lodge and it is total luxury. There is a real waterfall outside every suite and it is very romantic. It is pricy, but definitely worth it. My parents go there every year for their wedding anniversary.

as for the town of kenmare, it is a typical 'touristy' irish town. rich in irish culture with lots to see and do and of course beautiful scenery.

The surrounding countryside offers a host of marked walking trails. Our annual Walking Festivals which take place at Easter and May/June, offer walkers of all standards guided walks of various lengths. Watersports are in abundance with pleasure trips of Kenmare Bay to see the seals and other stunning wildlife. Canoeing, windsurfing, sailing and water-skiing are all available within short walking distance of town. You can also charter a motor yacht for the day to tour the coastline. Call into Killmakilloge for a pint of Guinness with lunch, and, of course, on a hot summer's day, a swim in the crystal-clear waters of the bay is glorious. Back on the mainland, there are a number of horse riding stables waiting to bring you up the mountains, along the coast or through the many woods. All classes of horses are available for the novice or experienced rider. Both the Kenmare Golf Club and the Ring of Kerry Golf and Country Club offer a challenging game over their 18 holes, and for those not so fond of the long tree lined fairways, we have a very enjoyable pitch and putt.

For quiet, peaceful days with the rod, there are many lakes and rivers to tackle available locally.

    Hope this helps

  17. Think of the weather - romantic with lovely scenery is all very well, but if the rain is lashing down, as it often is in Ireland in April, then you won't get to see much of it.

That said, it wouldn't hurt to check out some of the nice places in the South-west. Another answerer suggested Dingle, which is an excellent choice.

  18. county wexford has lovely beaches all alone its coastline!!its worth a visit and it is only a 2 hour drive from dublin city!

  19. Belfast

  20. I love Galway but for romance i would agree Killarney in Kerry is the business as far as scenery is concerned. but for partying Galway is the place to go.

  21. first of all good idea im irish wooooo!!! there are lots of places ...malahide castle is supposed to be gorgeous my sis always goes there wit her boyfriend, athlone is gorgeous too wit a great hotel called the radisson or the hudson bay in galway is nice...dublin wont have the scenery really so have a great time!!!!!!

  22. Hi ya i do live in Ireland, and to be honest with you i find it very nice, considering i'm not local too.I am italian.I did live in Co Down  Belfast, which is, over the last 10 years of renovation, not too bad .I used to go quite often to Galway,Cork,Waterford.

But my best suggestion would be hire a car and visit as many places as you can ,'cose everywhere you go you may find the nicest place

  23. I think that even though Dublin is great you should go to Donegal. Especially climb Eringal go to the top of Horn head and go to a Kalie! Brush up on your gailech though the road signs are all in it.

  24. Donegal. It's the real Ireland not the done up touristy Ireland.Great beaches, wonderful seafood, breathtaking scenery. It's at it's best in August.

  25. For scenery it will have to be the west coast.

Galway through Mayo and Donegal and round as far as the Giant's Causeway, it's all good.

    I hope you enjoy yourself.

  26. Donegal.

It is Republic of ireland, but is also right beside Northern ireland, so you get the best of both worlds.

    It is also beautiful

  27. Galway:)

  28. Definately agree with trying to visit as many places as possible. One summer we flew into Dublin then down to Cork and after up to Ennis - very beautiful. We travelled by train and bus which was fun as we got see lots of other places and were able to stop whenever we wanted.

    Have a lovely time.
