What is the best permanent hair dye you can buy at a drugstore?

I have dyed my hair before but nothing seems to last, it fades very quickly.

A drugstore hair dye will always fade quickly but try for the stuff that's supposed to cover gray hairs. I know that you probably don't have gray hair, but that stuff is the strongest. I also really like the brand Loreal.

I think all the name brands are pretty much the same. I have been coloring my hair for twenty years, and I tend to buy either L'Oreal or Clairol.

The trick is to use the right shampoo and conditioner made for color-treated hair (and all those wonderful products made especially for blondes, brunettes or redheads). There are numerous other products to keep your colored hair looking fresh between touch-ups. Check out the link below.
