Depends on your budget really - a basic runaround car like a Ford Ka is fairly simple & you might want to chance buying one from the small ads in your local paper, I try & judge the person selling as much as the car eg if its someone older & has all the Service history receipts MOT's etc or some chancer whose selling a car for a mate has no paperwork & who really is probably trading.

If you have any mechanic freinds who could go with you it can help you avoid buying junk or get a better deal.........
