  1. Fremantle WA, or Toowoomba in QLD. Fremantle is the most beautiful place i have ever been. There are universities there and it is also a very multi-cultural area- and not as much fuss made about it as Sydney. Toowoomba is 1.5 hrs west of Brisbane and is the 2nd largest inland city behind Canberra. The University of Southern QLD is world class, there are many different races and group activities and the dating scene is less desperate and more relaxed there. Also, it is much more affordable than a inner city area but still only a 2hr drive to the Gold Coast. You can rent a nice 3 br house with large yard and garage for under $250 a week. Fuel is also cheaper as are Utilities. If you enroll at USQ and want a sea change they also have campus's at Springfield and Hervey Bay that you can transfer to.

  2. i like so much Brisbane

  3. Manly beach is in Sydney - it's a great place but it might be a little expensive. Brookvale inland a little from the beach might be a bit more affordable.

I think you could live anywhere you like in Australia without experiencing racism. Australians, and especially Sydneysiders, are a blend of people from all over the world. Dating won't be a problem - we don't really have the concept of 'minorities' the same way as in the US because there aren't such distinct cultural groups.

We don't have college here. We go to highschool until we are 18 approx, then university for a Bachelor degree. There are several universities in Sydney and also in the other capital cities, I think they're all nice, but it depends a bit on what you want to study.

The main Sydney uni's I can think of are Sydney University, University of NSW, Macquarie University, University of Technology, University of Western Sydney - they will all have websites you can check out. Living at or near the university you choose can be a good idea, and living in a city other than Sydney will be less expensive.

    Hope this helps

  4. Sounds like you should check out the Syndey area. Its a major area with many schools and probably the biggest mixture of cultures. Of course its also a beautiful city. Check out the Chinese Friendship Garden at the Darling Harbor.
