  1. If you provide the following info I'll give detailed answers.

What skills can you trade work wise?

Do you speak Spanish or have experience learning a language?

Are you real hard car party animals looking for a Ibiza lifestyle or  do you just want to have an option of bars and restaurants. (The Spanish like going out and generally like party people so you can find night life anywhere but depends how demanding you are)

How much cash you taking with you?

A short answer to your question would be get an recognised English teaching qualification (e.g. CELTA) and you should find work in any decent city. But this can be a trap in the long run if you want to settle into the community.

  2. Alicante sounds nice.

If you want farther south try Malaga.  I think you need a kind of larger city for the jobs.  If you go to a little town and take a job away from somebody's cousin, you might not get as friendly a reception.
