I have a 2001 Ford Ranger and would like to hook up my CB radio to listen to other people. I am not sure what the best location or best way to hook it up to go into the truck harness with cd player or to the truck battery. I have an automatic truck, I don't know if there is a good install instruction on the web that i could use, im not very good when it comes to messing around with trucks but i can usally find my way around, did my cd player and have not had any problems with it.

  1. i use to have a ford truck once and i bolted mine up under the dash. theres a steel bar that goes from 1 side of the cab to the other and i bolted mine up there, then i ran my wiring through a grummet  by the fuse block and hooked the wiring straight to the battery, red to the hot and black to the ground, that way its not going through the computer and it takes care of engine noise too. thats the way i have mine hooked to my 88 olds. too, straight to the battery.
