I need to buy three 4 metre HDMI cables and a 4 metre coax. I was wondering where is the cheapest place to buy these from online? Or is Ebay still the best place?

  1. I like MonoPrice.  Cheap, fast, good.  What more do you need?

    http://www.monoprice.com

  2. Maplin Electronics. They have a shop or two in many biggish towns. Their web site will give you addresses or you can buy mail order.

    www.maplin.co.uk

  3. Try www.cabling4less.co.uk

I've used them on a number of occassions, and they're great. Cables will turn up the next day without fail.

  4. Online and ebay are fine but to be honest, I've never had a problem with Comet. They even do cables in a range of prices, from top-of-the-range Monster Cable to budget cables. Plus, you can get advice from someone at the store.

One thing to remember though is that, as with everything, you gets what you pays for. Buy the best you can afford - the better the connection, the better the quality. If you can, get gold connectors.

  5. I agree with the first poster and gave his answer a thumbs-up.

www.monoprice.com has the cheapest cables. THere is no reason to buy an expensive HDMI cable, digital is "0" and "1" and it either works or it doesn't.

I've bought several 10ft HDMI cables from them for around $4/each. They work fantastic with Blu-ray and a 50" plasma in my house.

  6. Hi, Rich S, try Richer S!  LOL!  Richer Sounds have shops all over the UK, and their product knowledge is great.  They have a "Pile it high and sell it cheap" philosophy, so the shops aren't fancy, but they'll sell you the cables you want at a good price.  Hope this helps.
